His role also encompasses additional responsibilities in the day to day running of All Response Media, both ensuring that the teams are working as effectively and happily as possible as well as ensuring, with the other Directors, that both the Agency’s short and long term goals are being met.
His key philosophies are collaboration, innovation, business common sense, integrity with keen buying – summed up “if it was our money what would we do?”
CJ learned about life and ‘doing deals’ at the Polytechnic of North London in 1985, where he obtained a BA Hons in Geography, before starting his Media career at TMD (now Carat). He was one of the original ‘gorillas with calculators’ generation and developed abilities in planning and buying across a wide variety of above the line media accounts.
After 12 months he became an original member of TMD Direct, where his fondness for all things accountable was born. Following spells at MCS and WWAV Media he joined Evans Hunt Scott in 1995 as Media Director and was part of the Agency Operations Board that merged firstly with Realtime and then with Brann to become EHS Brann (who are majority owners of All Response Media).
In February 2001 CJ and his team moved from EHS Brann to become part of All Response Media. He is keen to fuse innovation and results based solutions, and has championed a number of UK and world media firsts, both on and offline, He also loves to preach ‘Business Based Media’ to those that will listen by speaking at conferences and seminars across the UK and in the US. In Spring 2004 was voted onto the DMA Inserts Council and is now the Vice Chairman.
In 2009, CJ was made Managing Director at All Response Media.
